The Scottish Ballet brings a new take on the classic play "A Streetcar Named Desire," which The Guardian UK called "pitch-perfect," to Straz Center for the Performing Arts. With this exclusive deal, Travelzoo subscribers can save more than 25% on any remaining seat in the house.
Tickets are $25.55-$53.20 (reg. $35-$74.50) for the performance Sunday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. All seats are available including prime Orchestra; the $25.55 tickets are located in the last three rows of the theater.
A collaboration between theater and film director Nancy Meckler and international choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, the ballet tells the well-known story of Stella, Stanley and Blanche through dance, set to a specially commissioned jazz score. The Telegraph says the production is "a brilliantly bold and sensitive ballet which is full of memorable set pieces."
