This November, Travelzoo subscribers can catch one of the Florida Orchestra's fall programs for up to 50% off. Tickets start at $15 (reg. $30) for seating sections including Orchestra; or upgrade to the best seats in the house, for $30 (reg. $45).

The series starts with a program including Also Sprach Zarathustra, better known as the theme from "2001: A Space Odyssey," and Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem. Featured pianist Orli Shaham, called "a first-rate Mozartean" by the Chicago Tribune, will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20. Dates include:

  • Friday, Nov. 1, at Straz Center for the Performing Arts
  • Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Mahaffey Theater
  • Sunday, Nov. 3, at Ruth Eckerd Hall

On Friday, Nov. 8, The Florida Orchestra returns to Straz Center joined by pianist Stephen Hough for Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. The concert also includes selections from Rossini and Bartok.

In the final November program, principal cellist James Connors plays Elgar's Cello Concerto, a work called "masterful" and "graceful" by NPR. Also included are Haydn's Symphony No. 88 and Dvorak's Symphony No. 8. See one of three performances:

  • Friday, Nov. 22, at Straz Center for the Performing Arts
  • Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Mahaffey Theater
  • Sunday, Nov. 24, at Ruth Eckerd Hall
