After a successful Broadway run, the new touring production of "Evita" makes a stop in Chicago, and tickets are now up to 30% off for opening week shows. The Hollywood Reporter calls this recent Tony Award nominee for best revival of a musical a "ravishing spectacle."

Lower Balcony seats are $46 (reg. $64) and Orchestra/Dress Circle/Loge seats are $60 (reg. $87) at the Oriental Theatre, for the following performances:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m.

This is the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical in more than 30 years. Directed by Tony Award winner Michael Grandage ("Red") and choreographed by Rob Ashford -- also a Tony winner for "Thoroughly Modern Millie" -- "Evita" tells the rags-to-riches true story of Eva Perón, who rose to fame as Argentina's First Lady before her tragic death at age 33. The show includes popular songs such as "Don't Cry for Me Argentina."

Book by Sept. 22.
