The epic tragedy, loosely based on the classic opera "Madame Butterfly," was one of the longest-running Broadway shows of all time. Chris, an American G.I., and Kim, a Vietnamese bar girl, are torn apart after meeting in Saigon in 1975, only to be reunited years later. The Kansas City Star said this production "offers a poignant narrative and lush, compelling music."
