"The Foreigner" was called "a charming comedy about the magic of kindness" by Chicago Theatre Beat, and tickets are now 50% off for select performances with the Kansas City Repertory Theatre.

Terrace seats are $22 (reg. $45) and Main seats are $24 (reg. $45) for the following shows at Spencer Theatre:

  • Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m.

"The Foreigner" -- winner of both Obie and Outer Critics Circle awards -- was called "a hilarious and shapely comedy" by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and "solid entertainment" by The New York Times. 

The plot focuses around two guests -- Charlie and Froggy --  visiting a rural fishing lodge in Georgia, where diabolical plans and deep secrets are accidentally overheard when the other hotel guests think Charlie doesn't understand English.
