The world premiere play "Mojada" at Victory Gardens Theater is now up to 70% off for July performances. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, MacArthur Genius Grant-winning playwright Luis Alfaro is a "marvelous wordsmith."
All seats are $15 (reg. $35-$50) for all performances through July 28.
"Mojada" is the re-imagination of the Greek myth, Euripides' "Medea." The play is set in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood and tells the story of Medea, who crosses into the United States illegally and is caught in a struggle to adapt to the new country and keep her family together.
