Washington National Opera performs Verdi's demanding masterpiece "The Force of Destiny" this October at the Kennedy Center. Tickets are up to 50% off to the opera called "one of Verdi's best," according to the New York Sun.

Tier 2 tickets are $48 (reg. $80), Tier 1 tickets are $59 (reg. $105-$115) and Orchestra seats are $90 (reg. $155-$180) to the following performances:

  • Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. (opening night)
  • Wednesday, Oct.16 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

"Force of Destiny" focuses on a troubled family in a lawless society. Francesca Zambello -- the WNO's new Artistic Director, known for her inventive style -- will direct this production.

Book by Oct. 14.
