The Huntington Theatre Company will introduce a new musical adaptation of "The Jungle Book" this fall, combining Rudyard Kipling's children's stories with music and inspiration from the classic Disney film. "The Jungle Book" is directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman ("Candide"). It will feature a musical score with swing, jazz and Indian influences and include favorite Disney songs such as "The Bare Necessities." Richard Sherman, who scored the original Disney film with his late brother, Robert, has been heavily involved in the project.
