The opera "Powder Her Face" is "a masterpiece of contemporary music drama," according to The New York Times. Tickets to Opera Philadelphia's final performances of the tabloid-filled opera are up to 45% off.

Discounted tickets are available for the performances on Friday, June 14, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 16, at 2:30 p.m. in the Perelman Theater at the Kimmel Center, in the following sections:

  • First Balcony Box and Plaza Tier ... $38 (reg. $50)

"Powder Her Face" is ripped from the tabloid headlines of 1963, featuring the divorce of Margaret (the “Dirty Duchess” of Argyll) and the lurid tales and explicit photos of her trysts with Hollywood icons and British socialites.
