Update (Dec. 10, 4:40 p.m. PT): Cabins priced at $229 per person are available for Jan. 9 sailings on both ships. Due to popular demand, the least expensive cabins are now sold out for all other sailings, and pricing begins at $269 per person.
This winter, for $229 per person spend four nights cruising the Caribbean or Pacific on vessels named Top Large Cruise Ships in 2013 by Conde Nast Traveler readers.
Travelers who book this deal will receive 100% of the fare (excluding taxes) as a credit toward a future 2014 Princess sailing of seven nights or longer -- making this January getaway nearly free. Plus, guests who book by Wednesday, Dec. 4, will also score $25 onboard credit per cabin, a bottle of wine and a cabin upgrade.
Cruise roundtrip Fort Lauderdale on the Ruby Princess on Jan. 9 or 23 and visit Princess Cay or Cozumel. Five-night sailings that depart on surrounding dates cost $70 more per person.
From the West Coast, sail roundtrip Los Angeles on Jan. 5, 20 or 28 aboard the Sapphire Princess. This itinerary includes stops in Ensenada, plus Catalina or Santa Barbara.
Each ship is complete with multiple dining and drinking options, several pools and a spa.
Note: Taxes cost an additional $65-$80 per person.
