Exclusively for Midwest residents, seven-night spring Mediterranean cruises on Royal Caribbean's newly renovated Legend of the Seas are reduced to $699 per person and include $100 in on-board credit per cabin.

This offer, which saves $300 on current prices, breaks down to less than $100 per day for a European vacation including all meals, transportation between cities, and daily and nightly entertainment.

The deal is available for the sailings on May 4, 11 or 18. Over Memorial Day weekend, the May 25 sailing is $50 more per person. Oceanview and balcony cabins are also discounted.

The ship sails roundtrip from Rome with stops in Genoa, Italy; Marseilles, France; and Barcelona, Palma De Mallorca and Valencia, Spain.

The Legend of the Seas will be completely refurbished by early 2013. Enhancements include new and updated staterooms, new specialty restaurants and bars, shipboard Wi-Fi, a 3-D movie theater, outdoor movie screen, a nursery and a concierge club.
