Travelzoo Flights to Cabo

Famous for its clear, warm swimming waters, pristine beaches and overabundance of marlin and other big sport fish, Cabo San Lucas is a leisure traveler's oasis at the southernmost point of the Baja California peninsula. Though it is home to an increasing number of exorbitantly luxurious oceanfront resorts, Cabo is not a stuffy environment. People of all walks of life arrive to let their hair down in this town known for its rowdy party scene, whether they come by private jet or grab their cheap flights to Cabo San Lucas online. If you're looking for a fun tropical getaway with no pretenses, Cabo San Lucas is the place to be.

Which Airlines Fly to San Jose del Cabo?

There is a small airfield, Cabo San Lucas International Airport, located just north of Cabo, but it only welcomes traffic from private jets and some air taxi service on Mexican airlines Aereo Calafia and Aereo Servicio Guerrero. To fly commercially into the area from the U.S., you'll need to land at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), about a 40 minute drive to the northeast of Cabo. Direct flights into Los Cabos are available through American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Frontier, United and US Airways from cities including Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Los Angeles. Alaska Airlines also services nonstop flights from San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Seattle.

San Jose del Cabo Flight Tips

Low priced airfare to Los Cabos can be found when flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday rather than more popular travel days like Friday. Try adjusting your travel plans to find the cheapest fares.

Quick Travel Guide to San Jose del Cabo

With the exception of the resort community of San Jose del Cabo to the northeast, Cabo San Lucas is essentially in the middle of nowhere, with seemingly endless sand dunes to the north and crystal waters to the south. There are no museums to explore or trains to catch, and unless you've booked a fishing excursion or tee time, you're free to do as you please with no pressures. When the sun is up, most visitors pack their days with surfing, snorkeling, sunbathing and fighting the powerful marlin swimming all along the coast. And when the sun goes down, it seems as though the entire town prowls the main strip, dancing and drinking in local clubs for hours and maintaining Cabo's legendary reputation for rowdiness.

If you're an angler and think you've got what it takes to participate in the biggest marlin fishing tournament in the world, plan far in advance to come to Cabo in October for the annual Bisbee's Black and Blue Marlin Tournament. If you're not that competitive, you'll find it easy to arrange sports fishing outings any other time of the year at reasonable rates, including equipment rental.

The finer Cabo San Lucas hotels are wonderful places to while away your days, as well. Many have full-service spas, breathtaking views, tiki bars and other special features designed to melt away your stress.
