Guest rooms feature balconies and either a king or two double beds. The list of all-inclusive amenities goes beyond food and drinks, including alcohol, to include cabana and umbrella rentals, fitness classes and access to the gym and spa.

The town of Tamarindo is on one of Costa Rica's best beaches, which Frommer's calls "a long, wide swath of white sand that curves gently from one rocky headland to another." TripAdvisor users laud the natural surroundings of the resort, where guests can enjoy a peaceful retreat in a lush tropical setting.

Parking is complimentary, and the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia is a 40-minute drive away.
