The Deal

In the well-preserved 19th-century town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, escape for an elegant overnight retreat for $159 -- saving more than 45% on the regular price. This package includes martinis, breakfast, wine tastings at two wineries, and an upgrade to a room with a jetted tub and fireplace. Travel Sundays-Fridays March-April or for $219 per night in May; two-night stays are also available.

Built as a factory in the 1890s, the Pillar and Post is praised by Fodor's for its "unaffected mix of historic and modern." Dine onsite at the Cannery Restaurant, a CAA 4-Diamond award winner since 2002, which features a well-curated menu of classics like slow-roasted prime rib and more avant-garde fare like foie gras creme brulee. Breakfast is made to order and included in this package; start the day with farm fresh eggs and meats in the Cannery's relaxing atmosphere.

Nestled in Niagara's wine region, tastings are included at two of the area's most notable wineries: the Chateau des Charmes Estate Winery and Reif Estate Winery. Once the room is reserved with the hotel, hotel cancellation policy prevails, and cancellations or changes must be made 72 hours prior to arrival. Hotel-imposed penalties may apply.
