The Deal
Discover the intricacies of winter wine making with this tour of the Niagara wine region from Niagara Fun Tours. For $35, receive roundtrip transportation between Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you'll visit four wineries and have the opportunity to sample ice wine and conventional wine, regularly $112.
Stops on this tour include:
• The Ice House Winery -- Receive an ice wine slushie and a guided tour of the winery, whose trademarked Northern Ice wine won a Grand Gold medal from the Monde Selection in Brussels two years in a row
• Pillitteri Estates Winery -- Sample ice wine and two conventional wines from this producer who was awarded three medals in 2010 by the International Spirits & Wine Competition in the United Kingdom
• Joseph's Estate Winery -- Receive ice wine and three wine tastings from Joseph's Estate, whose 2008 Pinot Grigio was named the Official White Wine of the Ontario Legislature for 2010
• Caroline Cellars -- Sample four wines, including ice wine from this family-run winery whose owners have been growing grapes for four generations in Germany and Canada
