The Deal
For $225, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will take you deep into the pristine wilderness of the Bute Inlet to observe grizzly bears in their natural habitat. Regularly $333, this daylong tour with Discovery Marine Safaris' experienced guides includes transportation and a full picnic lunch.
Each adventure tour starts with a two-hour boat passage from Campbell River to the waters of the Bute Inlet. Once arriving on the mainland, guests are picked up by representative guides from the Homalco First Nation band, who shuttle tour participants to viewing platforms located throughout the area. From the viewing platforms, guests can spot native wildlife like bald eagles, black bears and grizzly bears feasting on salmon to fatten up for the coming winter's hibernation.
A full picnic lunch is provided and includes sandwiches on freshly baked whole wheat bread, fresh-baked cookies, organic coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water. Guests are encouraged to bring their own reusable coffee mugs and water bottles to help reduce waste
