The Deal
Chef Boban Kovachevich has served as head judge for the Fraser Valley Food Show's Master Chef Competition and was named Chef of the Year 2010 by the BC Chefs' Association. For $49, regularly $99, two guests can sample appetizers, entrees and desserts from his menu at the Copper Club Grill & Lounge in Coquitlam.
Located in the Executive Hotel Coquitlam, Copper Club Grill & Lounge calls its culinary style "West Coast fusion" thanks to the healthy, sustainable dishes on the menu. With this deal, sit down to a meal that includes:
• Any two appetizers like pan-seared rosemary scallops served with vine-ripened tomato confit and red pepper emulsion; Dungeness crab and shrimp cakes with a balsamic reduction; or tiger prawns served with chili, garlic, green onion and mango salsa
• Any two main course dishes like the hearty certified Angus beef filet with grainy Dijon jus; slow-cooked lamb shank in red zinfandel and spices; or a poached smoked Alaskan black cod served with lychee salsa and garlic cumin linguini
• Any dessert to share like the warm Okanagan apple tart served with ice cream, chocolate cake with a liquid chocolate centre, raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream or a trio of seasonal sorbettos
• Two coffees or teas to finish the meal
