The Deal
For $45 per person, learn the secrets of capturing stunning photographs from a seasoned veteran while touring scenic areas around Vancouver. These two-hour photo walks conducted by Amanda Kerr Photography regularly cost up to $125 and include the hands-on instruction needed to get the best results from your DSLR or point-and-shoot camera.
Each photo walk begins with an introduction that covers the basics of how to operate your camera's advanced features. This 30-minute lesson teaches novice and experienced photographers how to take advantage of available light by using a camera's aperture and ISO settings, color balance and shutter speed. After learning how to frame and balance images, the class sets out on a tour of picturesque areas like Gastown, the Olympic Cauldron or Sunset Beach.
The goal of every photo walk is to send students home with a new set of advanced photography skills and between 10 and 100 new images taken at tour locations.
