The Deal
For $49, learn the sweet art of cake and cupcake decorating during a hands-on workshop led by award-winning instructors. Regularly $199, students leave this two-hour class at SugarTiers with new pastry decoration skills and cakes or cupcakes of their own design.
SugarTiers is led by Rosalind Chan and Evalin Chong, who between them have an Arts of Baking Certificate, a Master in French Pastries from Ritz Escoffier in Paris, and an award for Wilton Method International Instructor of the Year. Learn from these seasoned professionals at your choice of classes:
• Basic introduction to cake decorating, which is designed for beginners and introduces the use of cake-decorating tools to apply stylish and colourful fondant and buttercream borders, flowers, ribbons and piping to a six-inch cake that students get to take home after class
• Hands-on cupcake workshop that teaches students how to decorate cupcakes with buttercream swirls, fondant flowers and other basic techniques that results in six personally decorated cupcakes that students can take home at the end of class
All supplies and ingredients are provided by SugarTiers, and students are requested to bring an apron, notebook and pen to each class.
