The Deal
Majestic sugar maples don coats of bright snow and crowd the icy lake that sprawls through The Cottages at Diamond in the Ruff, located in Ontario's legendary Muskoka region. Save more than 55% and stay for two nights in a traditional post-and-beam private cottage for $249 (Sunday-Wednesday arrivals) or $339 (Thursday-Saturday arrivals).
Each exposed pine cottage comfortably houses six people and is appointed with stainless steel appliances, high-speed Internet access and floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces, perfect for curling up with a good book, or sharing the warmth with friends and local wines.
Frommer’s attributes the Muskoka region’s “1,600 lakes, pretty terrain, and laid-back attitude” to its success as a relaxing retreat, welcoming escapees such as Tom Hanks and Goldie Hawn. Other activities in this winter wonderland include snowshoeing through the woods, snowmobiling from lake to lake or tubing down massive hills created by the region’s natural granite foundations.

Terms and Conditions
Once the room is reserved with the property, property cancellation policy prevails, and cancellations or changes must be made 14 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival or the voucher is subject to forfeiture. Property-imposed penalties may apply. Parking is included. Pet-friendly cottages can be requested, based on availability. Any unused credit will be forfeited upon checkout. This deal cannot be combined with other offers. Taxes and gratuity, if applicable, are additional. Must be used in one visit.
