The resort is steps from Main Street shops where you’ll find everything from rustic furniture to outdoor gear and dining venues. There's also a gondola nearby that climbs the adjacent Whiteface Mountain and delivers breathtaking aerial views.
Lake Placid has hosted two winter Olympics and continues to offer top notch cross-country skiing. Save 30% on lift tickets for Whiteface in December by buying them through the resort (weather permitting). The Olympic Center, which features two public ice skating rinks and the Lake Placid Olympic Museum, is just down the road.
