The Deal
Stay in a 13th-century former monastery in the center of Prague for $299 per night. This 50% off package at the luxury Augustine Hotel Prague includes breakfast, Champagne, a river boat tour and more. Fodor's praises this 5-star property as a "stand out" and highlights the "impeccable service" that guests can expect.
Listed in Condé Nast Traveller's 2012 Gold List for design and ambience and Leading Hotel of the World, the property is close to Prague Castle and the 14th-century Charles Bridge that links the cobbled streets of Old Town with the historic Malá Strana district on the banks of the Vltava River.
Part of the hotel is housed in the Augustinian St. Thomas Monastery, and several practicing friars still live in a separate part of it. Guests can take exclusive tours of the monastery’s private library. As well as a glass-covered courtyard restaurant, the hotel has two bars: one in the former refectory, and the other in the cellar of the monastery brewery, which still has evidence of stalactites and stalagmites.
