The Light ApartHotel Manchester is listed in The Times's Cool Hotel Guide, which praises its "great cityscape views" and "comfortable rooms"
The ApartHotel is situated in the Northern Quarter, which Visit Manchester describes as "Manchester's creative, urban heart". It is home to record shops, bars, restaurants, cafés, coffee shops and clubs.
Manchester was featured in Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2016 -- "It has a rich history and culture, easily explored in its myriad museums and galleries." There's lots to do in the area. The Manchester Art Gallery and the National Football Museum are less than a 10-minute walk away. The People's History Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry are less than a 15-minute drive away. The revamped Salford Quays waterfront, a 10-minute tram ride away, is home to the Imperial War Museum and The Lowry, a theatre and gallery containing works by the artist LS Lowry. There's also a big music scene in Manchester, with plenty of clubs and gigs.
The ApartHotel consists of 62 fully equipped studios, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments and penthouse suites. "They've got a Manhattan apartment style with designer sofas, spotlights, and shiny kitchens or kitchenettes," according to The Times.
The 4-star property has a private roof terrace and hot tub (available for guests staying in the Plantiunm Penthouse). The Lounge Bar which offers an extensive drinks menu in a relaxed and contemporary setting. There is free Wi-Fi throughout and a gym.
