Nashville and country music are practically synonymous. People come from around the world to see, hear and experience the Music City. The most famous performance hall of them all, the Grand Old Opry, is home to America’s longest running radio show and is credited with popularizing country music.
The comfortable Club-Hotel Nashville Inn and Suites is a fast five-minute ride away from Nashville’s historic and most visited tourist attraction. Hotel guests can spend an evening listening to country music legends or up-and-comers, then zip back down the Briley Parkway, and be in your room almost as fast as you can say “Encore!”
After a good night’s sleep, your hunger will say howdy to the complimentary traditional hot Southern breakfast. This is no time to start your diet. Pile your plate high with stick-to-your-ribs fare like biscuits and gravy, grits and sausage.
You can work some of it off at the hotel fitness center, equipped with all the basics including cardio machines and weights, or swim laps in the outdoor pool if the weather permits.
When you’re ready to head back out for more sightseeing, the hotel’s $10 roundtrip shuttle will take you to and from downtown Nashville where you can spend a day wandering in and out of music venues, honky-tonk clubs and watching street musicians perform.
Go back to the hotel in time to mix and mingle with other out-of-towners at the hotel’s complimentary happy hour. Free drinks made with local whiskies, vodkas and other libations are served up alongside light fare.
Although the hotel lobby looks modern and up-to-date, the color scheme in the rooms is a little outdated. Mint green walls are paired with cherry woods and paisley-patterned trimmings. What they lack in au courant design they make up for in space and cleanliness. Add in all the extras, plus a free roundtrip airport shuttle and Wi-Fi, and you may not care about the décor.
