Burnham Beeches Hotel is a 4-star Georgian manor house set in 10 acres of landscaped gardens in the South Bucks District of Buckinghamshire, only 30-minutes from central London.
The hotel was built in 1727, as a hunting lodge in what was then part of Windsor Park and was used for Royal hunting parties. It is set on the edge of the historical and well-known Burnham Beeches, which Country File praises as being "one of the best examples of ancient woodland in Britain." It is also close to Cherry Orchard local nature reserve which has a cycle path, a play park and wildlife including green woodpeckers, kingfishers and Michaelmas daisies.
There's plenty to do in the local area; the hotel is on the boundary with Berkshire and in between the towns of Maidenhead and Slough. Eton and Windsor are less than 20-minutes by car and Henley-on-Thames is a 30-minute drive away. Burnham Beeches Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away.
There are 82 rooms and Suites in total -- Standard Doubles are traditional in style, or you could upgrade to a room which is designed by the Laura Ashley team or one with a four-posted bed and views of the hotel grounds.
Dine in the AA-Rosette Gray's Restaurant, set in the original Georgian mansion. A private dining room is available on request for special occasions or a family get-together (supplements apply). For more informal dining or an afternoon tea, try the Georgian Bar & Lounge.
Other facilities at the hotel include a gym, an indoor swimming pool, and spa therapist.
