The celebrity stars that line the sidewalks on the Walk of Fame are just 10 minutes away on foot and steps from iconic LA sites such as Grauman’s Chinese Theater, Dolby Theatre (the first permanent home to the Oscars), and the Egyptian and El Capitan Theaters. Head to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum for a guaranteed celebrity sighting. But keep in mind that with the buzzy location comes along some noise from the street--so it's best to ask for a room in the back of the hotel for a more quiet stay.
When you’ve had enough of the vibrant city streets, retreat to Runyon Canyon (a favorite hiking spot among famous Angelenos) for a taste of nature, about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Situated roughly midway between downtown and West Los Angeles, visiting sites all over the city is fairly easy if you have a car and are not deterred by the infamous LA traffic. Universal Studios and the shops at CityWalk are nearby -- about a 10-minute drive from the hotel -- and the Hollywood sign and expansive views of the entire city from Griffith Park are 15 minutes away by car. Traffic can be heavy at unexpected times so make sure to allow plenty of time if you plan to venture downtown or to the beach.
