U.S. National Parks Offer First Free Admission Days of 2011

Save money and fulfill a New Year’s resolution to spend more time outdoors by visiting one of the U.S.'s 394 national parks.

More than 100 parks will waive admission fees this weekend and Monday in honour of Martin Luther King Jr. In addition to free admission, many parks will also offer discounts on lodging, concessions, tours and souvenirs on free days.

Other free admission days in 2011 are April 16-24 (National Park Week), June 21, Sept. 24 and Nov. 11-13.
