Score Some Early-Season Ski Deals

With the majestic Rocky Mountains in the west and the rolling hills of the Laurentians in the east, Canada is a true winter wonderland.

Some ski mountains are already open, with the rest following within the next few weeks, and we’re finding great early-season deals at some of Canada’s top resorts, offering savings of up to 65%.

The Great White North boasts some of the best skiing on the continent. Last year, Whistler Blackcomb, Mont Tremblant, Sun Peaks and Lake Louise all made Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the best places to ski and stay in North America with world-class lodges and some of the best après-ski around.

Coming out on the top of Condé Nast’s list was 2010 Olympic Games host Whistler Blackcomb. Lucky for travellers, a visit to the best ski resort in North America doesn’t have to come with a big price tag. We found a 4-star resort in the village with rates starting at $107 per night right through February. We also found flights to cities in the Rocky Mountains starting at $198 roundtrip, including taxes.

Great skiing isn’t only found in the Rockies. Quebec's Mont-Tremblant, one of the largest ski resorts in Eastern Canada with 95 trails and more than 2,100 feet of vertical, offers some of the best skiing in the East. The mountain features a quaint and homey village at its base where hotel stays including breakfast and après-ski snacks can be had for $99 per night.

We’ve compiled a list of cross-Canada deals with the great offers we found in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and even New Brunswick. With no shortage of runs to choose from, skiers and boarders can keep themselves busy from coast to coast all season long. So, grab your skis and boards and hit the slopes.
