The post-holiday hangover is now in full effect, and with few holidays coming up, there isn’t too much ahead on the 2012 calendar to brighten the winter blues … except when Winterlicious rolls into Toronto from Jan. 27 - Feb. 9.
This annual restaurant week provides delicious discounts for lunch and dinner at a host of restaurants across town. Take advantage of set lunch specials for $15, $20, or $25; or three-course prix fixe dinners for $25, $35 or $45. It’s a great way to sample new restaurants at affordable prices.
Special, one-off events from $38 and up allow diners to participate in themed meals, such as a fashion-themed brunch, beer-pairing session or sustainable fish dinner.
Advance bookings begin Jan. 10 and 11 for American Express cardholders. Search out your Amex or find a friend who has one – this is the only way to score the best deals at the swankiest tables in town, such as Canoe, located atop one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city, affording beautiful views of Lake Ontario.
Otherwise, bookings for Winterlicious will open to the rest of the public Jan. 12. Good luck, and bon appétit!
