Travel Information About Barcelona

Barcelona is located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula. It faces the Mediterranean Sea, giving this destination a Mediterranean climate with a sub-Mediterranean influence. December, January and February have temperatures that average 9 degrees Celsius. July and August are the hottest months. Thunderstorms are extremely common from mid-August until November.

Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and Barcelona International Airport (BCN) is the second largest airport in Spain after Madrid (MAD). It serves flights to and from domestic and European destinations. Some low-cost airlines prefer to use Girona-Costa Brava Airport or Reus Airport outside of the city, so to find cheap flights to Barcelona might cause you to have to commute to the city.
