Sail the high seas without the high prices -- the cost of a 17-night transatlantic spring cruise spanning seven European countries including airfare has dropped to $1699 per person, saving at least $2500 compared to buying both components separately.
Depart from Toronto on April 17 on a flight to Fort Lauderdale and return from Copenhagen on May 4. The sailing is on Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas and includes all meals, accommodations and entertainment. Taxes cost $350 per person, and oceanview rooms start from $250 more.
Passengers spend 10 days at sea and visit seven ports of call including Portugal, Ireland, France and Holland. These destinations are notoriously expensive when visiting by cruise, and it is rare to see them discounted during the peak spring season.
About the ship: The Vision of the Seas is a midsize ship that boasts massive windows, a rock-climbing wall, a seven-deck-high atrium, state-of-the-art fitness center, two pools including a Mayan-themed adults-only retreat and an outdoor saltwater pool, a theatre featuring nightly Broadway-style shows and a casino.
Note: Prices will be quoted in U.S. dollars. Government fees, taxes and gratuities are additional.
