Chicago Restaurant Week returns in January with a record-breaking 354 restaurants — 54 are first-time participants.

We suggest making your reservations now for lunch or dinner Jan. 22 – Feb. 4 — even popular Friday, Saturday and Sunday seatings — before the best reservations are sold out.

Participating restaurants will offer prix fixe lunch ($22) or dinner ($44) menus, including:

Arami

“This East Village Japanese always delivers with some of the best sushi and sashimi around” (Zagat); dine on favorites like the trio maki with yellowtail, tuna and salmon or the chef’s choice sashimi and nigiri.

The Bristol

Zagat says “everything is delicious” at this Bucktown spot “where the seasonal menu is full of creative choices” like smoked mackerel with meyer lemon and roasted garlic.

Perennial Virant

Menu by James Beard Award nominated chef Paul Virant that features seared scallops or cornmeal crusted pork loins with creamy grits.

Topolobampo

A Rick Bayless hot spot that Zagat named one of the 50 Best Restaurants in Chicago; dine on carne asada with Oaxacan black mole or classic ceviche with albacore tuna and serrano chile (lunch only).

GreenRiver

The Chicago Tribune says this newly opened hot spot “makes a big splash in Streeterville”; dine on ocean trout, Parisian gnocchi or seasonal vegetable soup (lunch only).
