19 Photos of the Coolest Hidden Beach You’ve Never Heard Of
You’ve likely heard of Puerto Vallarta, but have you heard of the Marieta Islands? Just offshore in Banderas Bay is this group of volcanic islands, and one of the most beautiful hidden beaches on Earth.

Much less known and perhaps even more breathtaking than its seaside neighbor, the Marieta Islands are an island paradise unlike any other. They were a favorite of renowned explorer Jacques Cousteau, who fought to get the islands protected as a national park – largely responsible for the abundance of marine life that still calls the islands home. Keeping with the islands’ conservationism, the “Hidden Beach” is only accessible by swimming through a 50-foot tunnel with only six feet of air space between water and rock.

Got to check off this incredible item off my bucket list…and we took 200 friends to do it with! We had to jump out of the boat, swim 400 meters under a cave and run from jelly fish, many had never swam and had life jackets, we had people from 7 yrs old to 74 yrs old with us and many generations together, and we did it together, it was one of the most magical moments of my life. Many thought we really turned this into a health and fitness trip lol! Thank you to everyone who believed in our vision and jumped out of the boat to reach this amazing destination! It was beyond epic! #hiddenbeach #inspiration #beyondtheordinary #lifetothe7thpower A photo posted by Yvette Ulloa (@yvetteulloa) on
