For just $99 per person, take a day-long tour of Victoria with a ride on the historic Puffing Billy steam locomotive and meet some of Australia's most famous wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos and fairy penguins. This exclusive offer from Gray Line normally costs $219, and combines the highlights of the Puffing Billy Tour with the popular "Penguin Deluxe" tour.
The tour begins with a pickup in Melbourne (from Federation Square East) at 8:20am, followed by a drive through the Eastern suburbs en route to scenic Sherbrooke Forest in the Dandenongs, where guests can take in the remarkable flora and fauna while trying some Bush Billy tea to go with lamingtons and vegemite crackers. The forest trip is capped off with a scenic ride on Puffing Billy, an original steam locomotive that dates back to 1900.
Guests then meet up with the "Penguin Deluxe" tour and head to a working farm on Churchill Island, where they'll enjoy a hearty Gippsland roast lunch and encounter goats, kangaroos, and can even try their hand at milking a cow.
The day caps off on Phillip Island, home to koalas, shearwaters, seals and little penguins. At dusk witness the famous "Penguin Parade" along the shore before taking the coach back to Melbourne.
Departing at 8:20am and returning to Melbourne at 11:00pm, tours depart daily until 31 March and on select dates in April and May (when tour concludes at 9pm instead).
