Getting to Thredbo: Thredbo is an alpine village located between Sydney and Melbourne. The town offers a wide range of outdoor activities -- trekking Australia's highest peak Mount Kosciuszko, mountain biking, fishing or just relaxing in the great outdoors. It's possible to fly direct to Cooma in the Snowy Mountains, where a shuttle bus operates to the resort. Alternatively you can drive from Sydney or Melbourne in approximately six hours, or from Canberra in around 2.5 hours.
