For a limited time, see one of William Shakespeare’s most controversial plays, Henry 4, for just $36 per person.
Saving 50% off the cost of a standard ticket, this deal is available for performances in the Drama Theatre at Sydney Opera House on the following dates:
Described by critics as ‘the Sex Pistols meet William Shakespeare’, Bell Shakespeare’s Henry 4 has been re-envisioned in the 21st Century and draws inspiration from the 2011 London Riots.
The tale of the ambitious King Henry IV and his rebellious son Prince Hal, Shakespeare’s historical play explores the age-old story of a domineering father and his irresponsible son as England descends into civil unrest.
Director John Bell, who also stars as the comically brilliant Falstaff, has condensed the original 2-part play into one for his Australian production, which sets the tale of adventure, ambition and political intrigue against a backdrop of punk-era London.
The running time for Henry 4 is three hours and 10 minutes including interval.
Valid for select shows on 24-25 April and 1-2, 8 May.
Book by midnight (AEST) Sunday 28 April.
