Economy fares from Sydney to London Heathrow start at just $1674 return including tax. This represents a saving of up to $300 off what similar airlines are charging on the same route in early 2013.

Virgin Atlantic boasts the fastest transit time to London's main airport from Australia -- just ninety minutes layover in Hong Kong compared to over three hours with other airlines.

The same aircraft is also used for the entire journey meaning passengers don't need to change planes.
