Start practicing Italian -- flights to Milan, Rome, Venice and 18 other cities in Italy are now on sale through Alitalia. Fares start at $599 roundtrip, including taxes for travel Oct. 20 - March 31. Many routes are priced more than $100 below fares on competing airlines.
The sale fares are available from Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York City, with several nonstop route options. In fact, Alitalia is the only online airline that offers nonstop service to Italy from the West Coast.

Passengers in Alitalia's "Classica" (economy class) are served both Italian and international cuisine in flight.
