American Airlines and American Eagle have launched a new nationwide sale that cuts fares between popular destinations this winter and spring. Flights start at $49 each way, based on roundtrip travel.

The sale includes great deals to and from Florida for travel through March 10. All other U.S. destinations are on sale through May 26. The lowest fares can be found for Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday travel.

Fares do not include (a) a federal excise tax of $3.70 per U.S. domestic flight segment, defined as one takeoff and landing, of a passenger's itinerary; (b) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; and (c) September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport.
