AirTran Airways hits one out of the park with its latest nationwide fare sale. Prices start at just $49 each way to America's baseball cities. This sale includes dates from opening day through the entire major league season and saves more than $100 off the usual cost of many routes.

Sale fares are available for travel through Nov. 16. The best pricing can be found for departures on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday with a 10-day advance purchase.

Here are some sample one-way fares to baseball towns -- all routes are available in both directions:

All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare. Ten-day advance purchase required. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Tickets must be purchased by March 25, 2010. Sale fares are valid for travel through November 16, 2010 system wide. Sale fares to/from Florida, San Juan, Aruba, Montego Bay, and Cancun are valid for travel from April 6, 2010 through November 16, 2010. Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Additional sale fares are available on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Blackout dates are as follows: April 2-3, 2010; May 28, 2010, May 31, 2010; June 18-20, 2010, June 25-27, 2010; July 2-3, 2010, July 5, 2010, July 9-11, 2010, July 16-18, 2010, July 23-25, 2010, July 30-31, 2010; and August 1, 2010, August 6-8, 2010. Service to/from Grand Rapids, MI begins on May 4, 2010. Service to/from Tunica, MS begins on May 6, 2010. Service to/from Huntsville, AL begins on May 27, 2010. Service on some itineraries may be provided by our partner SkyWest Airlines. A first bag may be checked for a fee of up to $15 per person and a second bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $15 per person. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares shown do not include Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18. The September 11th security fee of up to $10 is not included. Fares do not include segment taxes of $3.70 per segment.
