AirTran Airways hits one out of the park with its latest nationwide fare sale. Prices start at just $49 each way to America's baseball cities. This sale includes dates from opening day through the entire major league season and saves more than $100 off the usual cost of many routes.

Sale fares are available for travel through Nov. 16. The best pricing can be found for departures on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday with a 10-day advance purchase.

Here are some sample one-way fares to baseball towns -- all routes are available in both directions:
