Qatar Airways' global sale ends Thursday, leaving would-be travelers little time to book discounted fares to exotic destinations worldwide on the award-winning 5-star airline.

Saving as much as $600 on roundtrip fares from competing airlines, these sale fares are valid for travel select dates Jan. 26 - July 23 and Sept. 14 - Dec. 14 -- one of the widest travel windows we've seen this luxury carrier offer. For travelers outside of Qatar Airways' U.S. gateways, in many cases it's worth flying from a home airport to one of the airports listed below to take advantage of these offers.

Sample fares include (roundtrip, including taxes):

  • Chicago-Dubai, United Arab Emirates ... $921
  • Chicago-Hanoi, Vietnam ... $956
  • Chicago-Cape Town, South Africa ... $1005
  • Washington, D.C.-Dubai, United Arab Emirates ... $951

  • Washington, D.C.-Singapore ... $1067
  • Houston-Jakarta, Indonesia ... $989
  • Houston-Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates ... $1010
  • Houston-Mumbai, India ... $1077

Note: A minimum three-night stay is required. The sale ends at 11:59 p.m. ET Thursday, Jan. 23.

About the airline: Known for its 5-star service, spacious seats, wine selection and more than 1,000 seat-back entertainment options, Qatar Airways was recently named one of the top five airlines in the world by the prestigious Skytrax survey.
