Fares for travel through March have been reduced in a new Europe fare sale launched by Air France. Starting at $243 each way, travel from major cities across the U.S. to prime European destinations, including France, Germany and Italy. 

This fare sale is valid for departures Oct. 25 - Dec. 16 and Jan. 6 - March 28. Compared to fares on other airline carriers, this sale can save up to $100 off current fares in the marketplace, and it includes nonstop service on select routes.

The best fares can be found for midweek travel dates. Here are just a few of the many routes that have been discounted (each way):

Air France's onboard amenities feature 85 on-demand movies and full meal and drink service (including alcoholic beverages) throughout the flight. Other amenities include plush feather-filled seat headrests and a complimentary travel amenity kit with an eye mask and earplugs.

* Fares are displayed one-way based on round-trip purchase. The fares are valid for departures October 25, 2009 through December 16, 2009. There is a blackout period for flights returning to the U.S.A. between January 1, 2010 and January 5, 2010. Tickets must be purchased by October 21, 2009, 11:59PM EDT, and require a 7 day advance purchase. There is an additional $20-$30 weekend surcharge each way. A minimum Sunday night stay is required and a maximum three-month stay is permitted. Travel must be on Air France operated and marketed flights. Fuel surcharge is included in fares. Government-imposed fees and taxes of approximately $140 (more or less depending on airports) are additional, including the September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 per round-trip. Fares are non-refundable. Changes are allowed for a $250 fee plus fare adjustment fees. Additional conditions may apply.
