When hotelier Ian Schrager and designer Philippe Starck refurbished a 1960s office building in central London, they ended up with a minimalist hotel The New York Times calls a "chic enclave". This 5-star property has assembled an exclusive package that cuts more than $230 off current rates.
Visit Fridays-Mondays through May 16 for $254 (£165.85) per night and receive full English breakfast for two ($60 value) and free Wi-Fi ($10 value).
The furnishings were custom-built for the rooms which are painted all-white and have an interactive light installation allowing guests to flood the room in the hue of their choice. The walls not covered with color are stretched with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the skyline.
Conde Nast Traveller calls it "one of London's hippest hotels" and guests are within a mile of many top sights, from shopping on Regent Street to the tones of Big Ben's clock to the skyward carriages of the London Eye and the regal gates of Buckingham Palace.
